Krishen Iyer is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and social media consultant based in California. He is the founder and CEO of MAIS Consulting, and a company focused on connecting entrepreneurs with venture capital investors. He is also the founder of the entrepreneur community, StartUpCity. Krishen Iyer grew up in India and went to IIT Madras, where he received his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering. He completed his MBA at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and worked for several technology companies in the US before moving to India.

It has now grown to be one of the largest entrepreneur communities in India, with over 6,000 members. He also founded MAIS Consulting, a company focused on connecting entrepreneurs with venture capital investors, and is the CEO of MAIS Ventures. According to Krishen Iyer, this venture capital firm invests in early-stage startups in India and Southeast Asia. MAIS Consulting has raised over $6 million in funding from venture capital funds like Accel Partners, Sequoia Capital, and Matrix Partners.
