After many years of practicing law at the Dean Omar Branham Shirley, I have found that my true passion lies in trial work. I also find great satisfaction in helping people who may be facing some of the most challenging times of their lives.

What Are the Essential Skills Necessary to Be a Successful Trial Lawyer?

In my opinion, the essential skills necessary to be a successful trial lawyer include excellent communication and writing skills, solid legal analysis and research abilities, and courtroom presence and advocacy skills. These skills can be honed through hard work and experience, but they are essential for any trial lawyer. This as helped me a lot at Dean Omar Branham Shirley.

What Do You Believe Is the Most Important Attribute of a Successful Trial Lawyer?

The essential attribute of a successful trial lawyer is undoubtedly passion. You have to be passionate about the law and fight for your client’s rights to succeed in this field. If you don’t have a passion for trial work, it will be challenging to succeed as a trial lawyer.
